Radio theatre show about a fictional presidency in an alternate universe.
Weekly Program
Songs from The Late Show ("The Age of Impeachment"), Bob Dylan ("It's Alright Ma I'm Only Bleeding"), The O'Jays ("Back Stabbers"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone").
An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 10 episodes, but with impeachment cancellation is possible at any moment. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
Clips and excerpts from Rod Serling; Rudy Giuliani; "Our Cartoon President;" Colin Jost; Seth Meyers; Jason Crow; Jon Lovitz, Beck Bennett, Cecily Strong and Kate McKinnon from "Saturday Night Live;" Rachel Maddow; Frank Sheeran (from "The Irishman"); Adam Schiff; Michael Che; Stephen Colbert; Lev Parnas; Alisyn Camerota; Lawrence ODonnell; Alan Dershowitz; Jeffrey Toobin; Elizabeth Warren; Ken Starr; Sean Hannity; Laura Ingraham; Steve Doocy; Lou Dobbs; Trevor Noah; and Albus Dumbledore.
