This week on The Children's Hour we are joined by FoodPlay Productions. It is an Emmy Award-winning, nutrition education company that creates fun-fun-filled tools, resources, and programs to make nutrition come alive for children across the country.
FoodPlays shows, educational resources, and media campaigns have earned a host of national awards, outstanding evaluations, and rave reviews for their innovation and effectiveness in improving the nutrition and health habits of the nations youth.
Join the Crew, DJ Kale, TobiFit, and Barbara Storper, MS, RDN, who is the founder of FoodPlay. We play games with food trivia related to My Plate and much more.
Plus we are joined by Jon Ghahate, Museum Cultural Educator at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to teach us about indigenous American foods. What everyday foods came from the Western Hemisphere?
All this plus great music sure to make you hungry, and celebrate delicious nutritious food, glorious food, this week on The Children's Hour.
Katie Stone, Producer

The Children's Hour is a weekly, educational and entertaining public radio program for kids and families. Using excellent music, expert guests, talented kids and a format that is a proven success in growing and keeping listeners of all ages engaged.
The Children's Hour includes kids in all aspects of the production. We're dedicated to filling educational gaps, by focusing on civics, STEM, culture, and performance, using interviews with scientists, astronauts, civil servants, cultural educators, performers and others, and weaving shows together with a wide variety of musical genres.
Kids on our crew and in our community contribute content, design programming, and cohost our shows, live in public venues, and in studio.
