A year ago, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that Monsanto owned the gene in its Roundup Ready canola. Percy Schmeiser took Monsanto all the way to the highest court after the company accused him of stealing their property when its GM canola was found in the ditches of his property. In this speech, Percy Schmeiser talks about why he took Monsanto to the Supreme Court, what he thinks about the verdict and how Monsanto continues to harass farmers in the Prairies.
