Around the country, in fact also in Canada and many countries around the world, community organizations are participating in the 14th US-Cuba Friendshipment Caravan. This year, the Caravan, composed of buses taking 14 different routes through the United States, will join in Texas and cross the Mexican border at the end of July. This past Saturday, Cuba In Focus Fred Nguyen attended one of many fund raisers organized by IFCO Pastor For Peace. Over a hundred attendees enjoyed a professional demonstration of the African origins of Cuban dance and were then transported into the irresistible rhythm of Mambo and Cha-cha-cha. Fred interviewed a 22-year old student, who will join the Caravan for the first time, a retired nurse who visited Cuba in the early 1990s and Amelie Thomas and Bill Hill, two long time organizers with IFCO Pastors For Peace:
