Dr. Barry Hewlett is Professor of Anthropology at Washington State University. This talk is an introduction of his forthcoming book,"Ebola, Culture and Politics: The Anthropology of Emerging Disease". He reflects on his wide ranging experiences in Central Africa over the last 30 years and the course which has lead to his conclusions about cultural conditioning, medical models, bio-terrorism, epidemiological response, and indigenous wisdom.
