Norman Finkelstein: Beyond Chutzpah
"Beyond Chutzpah is the most comprehensive and well documented work of its kind. Rational and unemotional, it is one of the harshest texts about the daily practices of Israel's occupation and colonization of the Palestinian territories." Baruch Kimmerling, professor at Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
In spite - or maybe because - of that praise Finkelstein's work is being ignored - even by the alternative media.

Here are Finkelstein's findings on the Israeli settler movement, Gaza, the West Bank, Israel's history of torture, and the thorniest question of all: Did Israelis commit and act of ethnic cleansing when, in 1948, they expelled 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and village to create the state of Israel.

Norman Finkelstein is assistant professor of political science at DePaul University. He spoke in Berkeley, CA, October 6, 2005. Recorded by Voices for the Middle East.
