ESTEBAN LAZO HERNANDEZ IS THE SON OF BLACK SHARECROPPERS AND WAS ONLY 15 WHEN THE REVOLUTION TRIUMPHED IN CUBA. HE IS NOW VICE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL OF STATE AND HE SPOKE FOR HIS COUNTRY AT THE 61ST SESSION ON THE U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY THIS PAST WEDNESDAY. THE SAME EVENING, HE WAS THE FEATURED SPEAKER AT THE FOURTH CUBA SOLIDARITY RALLY HELD ANNUALLY AT THE CHURCH OF INTERCESSION IN HARLEM, NEW YORK.
