Architect Mike Van Strander speaks with me about high performance buildings and the Green Building Council. We also discuss passive solar, straw bale, thermal mass, and global warming.

Our buildings create half of the problems of global warming. Another 1/4 is industry and the other 1/4 is transportation.The greenest building is the one we don't have to build which translates into renovation of existing buildings.
