This Week's Guest? Naomi Wolf and Howard Zinn Host? Stephen Lendman
Naomi Wolf is an author, political consultant, activist, and described as being identified with "third-wave feminism" beginning in the 1990s that grew out of earlier 1960s to 1980s movements. Among her seven books, two relate to today's program - "The End of America" in which she argues that the Bush administration followed the same script as tyrants to destroy constitutional freedoms. Her most recent book just out is titled "Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries" She cites a "fascist shift" in the country, worse than she earlier imagined, and believes that strong citizen action can overcome any power on earth and shows how. The state of the nation and Wolf's writings will be discussed on the program.
Howard Zinn is an award-winning historian, political scientist, playwright, activist, frequent lecturer, and prominent anti-war critic. He's also Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Boston University, a prolific writer, and author of 20 books, including his classic work - "A People's History of the United States." Relevant world and national issues will be discussed on the program, including a look ahead to a new administration in 2009 as the November 4 election approaches.
