(G20 Part 1 - this show recorded and aired over the course of the 1 April, 2009, in the middle of the G20 protests in London...)
Part one of our G20 coverage. During the course of the day we went out and recorded on the streets as well as interviewing people in the studio and over the phone. The show starts with a little montage from the afternoon featuring voices and sounds from the Camp in The City as well as happenings at Bank of England at the G20 Meltdown protest.
We then had the Whitechapel Anarchist Group (the "notorious" W.A.G., recently slated in the main stream British media) live in the studio explaining how they saw the day's protests. We talked to the folks down at the child space co-operative for activist kids, the G20 Critical Mass protest, and a little piece on communicating with the cops to confirm information and get an interview...
The last two bits feature an interview with Kirsten about the nature of the 'Black Horse' march, followed by John's montage from later in the evening when things had begun to take a nasty turn and police dogs were on the loose.
...Delsa popped in after this to spin some sweet reggae and dubstep tunes, not to be missed.
(Enjoy. And make sure to check out G20 Part II, airing live on Friday 3 April 2009 and available for download shortly after.)
