(G20 Part 2 - this show was recorded on 1 and 2 April over the course of the G20 protests and related anti-capitalist activities in London, and aired on 3 April 2009...)
The show features a mixture of material from the 1st and 2nd of April as well as some live guests in discussing the media coverage of the protests and Camp for Climate Action UK gives us an interview on their reactions to the events of April 1st. We also hear from a member of the rampART collective and people occupying the Earl's Street convergence centre with their take on the drastic and violent police intimidation and repression tactics used to evict and gain control of buildings associated with the G20 protest organising.
While the show was happening, the Sex Workers Open University was taking place so we grabbed Luca to come in and chat about the weekend of workshops, art exhibiting, films and discussion that had begun that day. We also had a recorded interview thanks to our friends at Indymedia London, featuring two of the witnesses to the death of Ian Tomlinson at the G20.
As always, a DJ set to end...this time around, Ronin came in and blew our minds with some pretty amazing computer breakcore and his touch screen thingy...(wish you could've seen it yourself, eh?)
So check it! And make sure to check out G20 Part 1 if you haven't already...
