In May 2009, the results of a 15-month study commissioned by The Middle East Project of the Human Sciences Research Council at Cape Town, South Africa were published in a report entitled: âOccupation, Colonialism, Apartheid? â a re-assessment of Israelâs practices in the occupied Palestinian territories under international law.â The research study over a 15-month period by a team of international scholars is arguably the most thorough and most authoritative investigation into Israelâs practice of Apartheid in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The study was coordinated by Dr. Virginia Tilley, Chief Research Specialist at the Democracy and Governance Division of the Human Sciences Research Council at Cape Town. We have the privilege of discussing the reportâs findings and their implications with her today. She joins us now by telephone from Cape Town.
