disRespect has had problems almost continuously with our provided recording equipment, since November 2008. The attitudes of other users of our provided equipment, toward system security are in part at the root of these problems.
As you know, we have had other problems with whistles, phones ringing, and music playing in the background of our interviews.
In addition we've had thrust on us the necessity of storing our own programmes by the day they are aired, as they are vulnerable to deletion by anyone with access to the station account, and all individual station accounts and the storage space associated with them have been closed.
We have had issues doing the show from another location as well, as we have been dealing until April with an abusive landlord off site.
In the fall, disRespect will be editing its programmes off site, and we look forward to doing interviews off site as well, in the foreseeable future, so that the quality and timeliness of interviews for you are under our own control. Your loyalty as listeners is an honour which in the autumn we will be able to return to you in kind. In the meantime, as we are able to post them from now until then, enjoy the shows!
