THIS PAST THURSDAY, PRESIDENT OBAMA CAME TO THE HILTON HOTEL ON SIXTH AVENUE TO ADDRESS THE CLOSING SESSION OF THE NAACP CONVENTION. WHICH CELEBRATED ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR. AS DIGNITARIES AND DELEGATES WERE LINING UP TO HEAR HIS FIRST SPEECH IN NEW YORK CITY SINCE HE BECAME PRESIDENT, WBAI FRED NGUYEN RECORDED THE MOOD INSIDE THE CONVENTION CENTER AND ACROSS THE STREET WHERE A SMALL BUT VOCAL GROUP, RESPONDING TO A CALL BY WORLD CAN￢ﾀﾙT WAIT AND SEVERAL OTHER ORGANIZATIONS HAD GATHERED TO PROTEST SOME OF HIS POLICIES.
