The Gaza Freedom March comes to fruition during this coming week. Huge numbers of committed activists are on their way to Egypt, intending to cross into Gaza with humble offerings of relief. Meanwhile, Egyptian officials (with U.S. government connivance) claim that no one will be allowed to cross, and plan to immiserate and starve Gazans even more by constructing a steel underground wall. All this will soon come to a head, and it's clear that our marchers need support of many kinds.

Beyond resisting, replacing, and imprisoning our own criminally corrupt politicians, perhaps the most urgent need today for those of us who care is to pressure Egyptian embassies and consulates around the world to OPEN THAT CROSSING.

In the U.S., contact the Egyptian Embassy,

Our program today is partly borrowed from our friend Dori Smith of Talk Nation Radio. We air her most recent episode of TNR, devoted to precisely this issue. Following that, Truth and Justice Radio co-producer Stan Robinson offers selected announcements of suggested support activities and events, including a full afternoon in Boston on New Year's Eve, interleaving with Boston's First Night festivities.

Suggested websites: iacboston.net and gazafreedommarch.org.

For more detail on local activities, view this week's event announcements posted at truthandjusticeradio.org.

As our treasured associate Salma Abu Ayyash has been urging on this program... WHISPER, TALK OR SCREAM, but DO NOT remain silent!

This Week In Palestine (a weekly part of Truth and Justice Radio) is (normally) a three-quarter-hour segment of news from Palestine and discussion of issues relevant to the Palestinians' struggle for freedom from Israel's brutal military occupation and colonization, and now bombing, devastation, imprisonment, and murder, of their homeland, thanks in part to U.S. taxpayer funding.

It's part of Truth and Justice Radio, aired Sundays 6-9:30am ET on WZBC 90.3FM, Newton, MA, streaming (and also archived for two weeks) at wzbc.org. Our website, truthandjusticeradio.org, links to audio archives of 2008/2009 editions of This Week In Palestine; even more editions are obtainable at the URL "tinyurl.com/twiplist2" which links to our postings on radio4all.net.

The most important message we repeat is that all caring humans must GET INVOLVED!
