These days it seems like everyone appropriates heroes and legends for their own political ends. Republicans have finally figured out it’s bad press to diss the second most admired person of the 20th century (according to a 2000 gallup poll) and have consequently decided to honor Martin Luther King with their rhetoric if not their actions:

Quote: “our Party and the nation honors Dr. King’s dream by continuing his fight — the fight for all Americans to have an equal chance at the American Dream."

Only, the republican party has been steadfast in destroying those very chances...
