Shortly after the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01, sociologist Dr. Cainkar recieved a research grant to study the impacts of the 9/11 attacks on Arab and Muslim Americans. Her data, collected over three years from 2002 - 2005, formed the basis for numerous articles and finally her book, Homeland Insecurity: The Arab American and Muslim American Experience After 9/11, about which she speaks.
Dr. Cainkar is an Assistant Professor of sociology and social justice at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
