We interview South African anti-Apartheid activist Prof. Farid Esack, who is speaking at McMaster, about his opinion of Israel Apartheid Week and his view on comparisons between Israel and South Africa.
Note: This is a transatlantic interview, so sound quality is somewhat compromised. You may need to turn up your volume.

While Professor Esack indicates that Canadian anti-apartheid actions inspired activists in South Africa, it should be noted that the first Israel Apartheid Week actions are believed to have started in Toronto, and not Hamilton.
