L’association SHERPA (France), le Centre for Trade Policy and Development (Zambie), la Déclaration de Berne (Suisse), l’Entraide missionnaire (Canada) et MiningWatch Canada ont déposé le 12 avril une plainte contre les sociétés Glencore International AG et First Quantum Minerals Ltd auprès des Points de contact nationaux (PCN) suisse et canadien pour manquement aux principes directeurs de l’OCDE à l’intention des entreprises multinationales. En cause, les manipulations financières et comptables auxquelles la filiale zambienne de ces sociétés, Mopani Copper Mines Plc (MCM), a recours afin de se soustraire à l’impôt sur place.
