This week it's the sound collage artists, experimental musicians, copyright warriors and bad boys from Contra Costa County Negativland the current the core line up (according to Wikipedia) consists of Mark Hosler, Richard Lyons, Don Joyce, David Wills, and Peter Conheim. They started out in the late 90's releasing albums on their own label Seeland Records. They also released albums on the pioneer punk label SST Records, most notably Escape from Noise, Helter Stupid, and U2. They were sued by U2's record label, Island Records, which brought them even more widespread publicity and notoriety hear Mark Hosler explain in this show. They also produce the weekly radio program Over The Edge on KPFA 94.1 Berkley Ca.
