Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the pilot episode of 'Navigating Netflix' - appropriately titled 'The Experiment'. Our first film is a 2010 dramatization of the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment - the 1971 study that was funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research and conducted by Philip Zimbardo at Stanford University in which volunteers took on "the roles of guards and inmates in a mock prison as part of a controversial psychological experiment." Rated R for strong disturbing violence.
Navigating Netflix episode 01: "The Experiment" (Starring: Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker) - Analysis by: James Evan Pilato (of Media Monarchy), Paul Verge (of Remedy Radio), Lisa Arbercheski and Richard Grove (of Tragedy and Hope)
Netflix subscribers often find diamonds in the rough - films that illustrate history & reality - but aren't marketed or organized such that you can easily find what's valuable. 'Navigating Netflix', from Media Monarchy and Tragedy & Hope, is here to help!
