Summary: Yes! I finally got the Backward Masking show from 2005 taped and poured into a concrete form. Back then, it was so sprawling that I had no idea what to do with it--but in the intervening time, I've learned things working on George that stood me in good stead here. For instance, the three main xtian idiots doing the BM exposés covered similar territory with identical talking points. My original hitch with my material here was "Which idiot's version of this particular 'fact' should I play?" But working on it six years later, I soon realized that the best thing was to play BOTH versions of the same material, with one idiot stepping on the other idiot's lines and then everything degenerating into a fistfight. But these guys were so incredibly dickless and vanilla--they hardly raised their voices. But by using quoted song lyrics and knowing just where to find those insidious "hesitation sounds" that can be used with such evil intent, I managed to pull it off. Luckily, they were looking at slides and messing with projectors and thinking out loud, which are great places to pick up uncertain "uh"s and stupid-sounding grunts and feeble remarks that in the context are funny--but taken out of that context, trimmed down to their phonic gist, and then isolated with someone's diatribe on the other side, these same sounds indicate majorly stung butthurt and feeble weakness. This show damn near killed me--but I needed to hurt myself anyway. Just my blind shithouse luck that I got another masterwork out of my pain. So yeah-- the BACKWARDS DAY EXTRAVAGANZA will be pouring out of the speakers in just a few minutes. It features a 1982 "exposé" by the scabrous Paul Crouch and sycophantic Paul Crouch Jr of TBN; the cassette THE DARKSIDE OF MUSIC by the oily Tom Garguilo (whose bragging about having been an unmentioned ringer in the group Wild Cherry sounds a LOT different it's when met by long stretches of silence with crickets and sarcastic slow-clapping), and the live borefest of some xtian asshat-dad-type guy called Garlock whose trail I've lost track of over the years. There are also bits by Jimmy Swaggart, Jack Van Impe, the Holy Ghost Players, and Professor Backwards, plus a news report from the Negativland BM axe-murder fracas. Along with them blatherers are big chunks of Hayseed Dixie, Robert Gordon ("Black Slacks"), Jello Biafra and D.O.A. (the opening intro from "Full Metal Jackoff," which would make an incredible 20- minute SubGenius Drone-Jam sometime, I'm just sayin'...!), and THE BEST 9-MINUTE VERSION OF "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" YOU WILL EVER HEAR. Uh--"best" being a relative term and all...

Notes: Who's "Bob" you ask? What's Slack, you ask? What's next, you're gonna ask what FUN is??? Pull your head out of your ass and render it unto the tender ministrations of the Flooze as she washes your brain with that hyperbolic cocktail of hypgnotic collages and the kind of grade-A bulldada that you'll need to survive these New Dark Ages.
