On Nov 17 at the Lo Pud, the Downtown Biz hosted a forum on Downtown safety. The forum was very tense, with people shouting and interrupting some of the panelists. Some have written off the forum for it's lack of civility and poisoning the "well of civil discourse" http://uniter.ca/blog/entry/6934/

Yet the forum brought up critical important issues in regards to downtown safety,the role of both the downtown Biz and the police.
