Paul Harrison, Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Coordinator at the Community Tax Law Project, discusses the Earned Income Tax Credit , as well as whether forgiveness of debt is taxable income when you get a Form 1099-C after a creditor writes off a debt. And during this week’s News You Can Use, you’ll hear about Virginia Free File that can help many Virginians file their income tax returns quickly, easily and for free.
