A conference with a panel of Native Speakers who speak on various issues concerning their communities. This conference was organized by the Indigenous Solidarity Peoples Movement.

CLIFTON NICHOLAS grew up in Kanehsatake and in 1989 began to take an active role in protecting the Kanehsatake land base and fighting against the plans for the expansion of the Oka golf course on his people's land. He is currently a mature student at Concordia University in the anthropology program. ROBERTO BORRERO. Mr Borrero's work is dedicated to his Boriken Taino Indian heritage and he is the recipient of an artist grant awarded by the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and the New York State Council of the Arts. Since 1992, Mr. Borrero has served on the UN NGO of the International Year and Decade of the World's Indigenous Peoples. KAHN-TINETA HORN is a long time Mohawk activist from Kahnawake territory in Canada and she took part in the 78 days stand off at Kanesatake/Oka in 1990. She is the Director of the Canadian Alliance in Solidarity with Native Peoples and she coordinated the Free Wolverine Campaign. She was unable to come to the panel that night, however her did come and daughter read her speech.
