Dr. Maria Paez Victor is a Venezuelan-born sociologist and consultant who has taught Sociology of Health and Medicine at the University of Toronto for a number of years and is involved with Louis Riel Bolivarian Circle and a close colleague of Hands Off Venezuela.
She speaks to Latin Waves about the similarities and contrasts between the uprisings in Venezuela and the new "Idle No More" first nations uprisings in Canada.
