The Pentagon recently admitted that Taliban attacks are on the increase in some regions. One of the factors that may be driving this trend is the fight for control of Afghanistan’s oil reserves. Antonia Juhasz is author of Black Tide and the Tyranny of Oil. Her recent article on Afghanistan and oil can be found in the January edition of Atlantic Monthly.
