In Virginia the General Assembly is debating in Virginia that would allow minimally processed food to be sold from family farms, but only with a label stating that it was produced without state inspection, and contact information for the farm. Yet grocery store shelves are laden with foods and other products that contain genetically engineered plant material, unidentified and unlabeled.
Conservative and Progressive thinkers have met over the freedom to farm, and we have met eye to eye over the matter of what should be allowed in our food. We want to know if someone has tinkered with the genetic code of a plant our animals will eat.
To grow and purchase organic food, no matter how you define it, must be an option in the United states as in Europe. Listen to this informed and reasoned discussion and learn more.
