Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

On The Commons with me this week is George Andres. George, also known as the Jupiter Flag Man, has been in and out of court for a number of years, fighting to keep a pole from which to properly fly The Stars and Stripes. His very public battle resulted in state legislation overriding HOA authority to interfere with the individual's right to fly a flag. Now that he won his case, will the association be allowed to foreclose to collect attorney fees?

At the bottom of the hour we are joined by Helen Mayfield. Helen, a Houston, Texas attorney, who was so outraged by reports that a homeowner was facing a jail sentence for "agreeing" to maintain her yard to standards above those required by her neighbors, stepped in and offered to represent her. Join us as we get the latest on that story.
