Afternoon session on the medical and ecological consequences of the radioactive elements that were released during the Fukushima nuclear reactor meltdowns and explosions. Radioactive elements continue to be spread by Japanese government policy and the continuing leakage of radioactive reactor cooling water into the Pacific Ocean.

Dr Marek Niedziela, Department of Pediatrics, Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poland presented by videotape on the "Differential diagnosis of ultrasonographic thyroid lesions in children" based on his work following the Chernobyl nuclear reactor explosions.
