UNSEEN LEGION RADIO - Hosted by the InaSoulbian Crew airs 9pm-midnight PST every Tuesday on www.killradio.org
DJ Earl-E, MC Prose, Bin Grim, EQ (Quez)
Episode 26: Bringin' the Drama
The Unseen Legion is Hip-Hop. And so it is a little bit of the streets. Every street. Everywhere. It is the underdog in the fight, the underground in the struggle. It is hands-on, do-it-yourself, something-out-of-nothing. It is the music and language of survival, all around the world.
The Unseen Legion is people everywhere. In the true Hip-Hop tradition, we pay homage to our roots while taking care of the present, and building for tomorrow.
The Unseen Legion is NOW. It is cultural revolution and spiritual evolution. It is introspection and self-expression. It speaks truth to power... and the music never lies.
Episode 26: Bringin' the Drama
You might need to listen to this show on your home theater system because Movie Week on Unseen Legion Radio is some full TH to the X type 360 surround sound ish. DJ EARL-E, MC PROSE, BIN GRIM and EQ (QUEZ) were on hand for our most cinematic episode yet. First, we snuck into the movies, then DJ Earl-E gave us a retrospective of hits from some of the best movies ever made (if you ask us, anyway). There was an All-Star cast, from James Brown (Black Caesar) to Bunny Wailer (Rockers) to Hugo Montenegro (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly) to Public Enemy (Do The Right Thing) and beyond. Flavor Flav even chopped it up with Spike Lee for a minute. And all through the night, we brought famous scenes from movies like Hollywood Shuffle, Juice, Fresh, Boyz N The Hood and more. There was even a special Bin Grim and MC Prose freestyle over a couple of bangin' movie-inspired Grimstrumentals.
So go get a bucket of popcorn the size of your sofa, grab your bathtub-sized soda and your Jujubees, Mike & Ikes and any other diabetes-inducing munchies you might need as we take you on a 3-hour excursion. No 3D glasses needed. Only on Unseen Legion Radio. Where the music never lies.
