Are you living in the last human generation? Now that the 2012 Mayan Calendar craze is over, there is a new movement

claiming we are heading into "near-term human extinction". One group says the Northern Hemisphere will be devoid of people by the 2030's, with the population of the Southern Hemisphere dying out a few years later.

Alex investigates the science behind these claims - and the wild solutions to methane rising from the Arctic. One member of the Arctic Methane Emergency Group is pushing massive gas drilling in the Arctic - to save us from global warming!

That plan was presented to, and rejected by, the United Kingdom Parliament. But AMEG calls for geoengineering this year, to save the last of the Arctic sea ice.

Our guests give us varied perspectives on fears humans will go extinct soon.
