NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Spanish National Radio, NHK World Radio Japan, and the Voice of Russia.
From GERMANY- The army chief of Egypt has asked the populace to give the military a mandate by demonstrating this Friday. Violent protests in Belfast have increased this year- an analysis of why the riots are getting worse, by an Irish documentary filmmaker Alison Millar.
From SPAIN- Police in Madrid clashed with citizens protesting political corruption, specifically cash payments from large contractors to Prime Minister Rajoy's political party- Rajoy must appear before Parliament to answer charges, with many calling for his resignation. A CIA base chief convicted in Italy for an extraordinary rendition has been caught in Panama, but returned to the US. Despite gains in talks between the Colombian government and FARC rebels, fighting has increased. Peru has launched the National Photovoltaic Household Electrification Program. A report on how Lebanon is responding to the EU decision to list Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. As I produce this show, Edward Snowden has not yet been given documents to leave the Moscow airport.
From JAPAN- For the first time, the operator of the Fukushima nuclear power plant has acknowledged that highly radioactive water is getting into the Pacific ocean. New estimates for possible cleanup of the Fukushima area have reached $50 billion. Fishermen in Fukushima are angry that Tepco lied before acknowledging that radiation is entering the ocean, contaminating the fish.
From RUSSIA- A report on the levels of radiation in Pacific Ocean fish and how this affects human health. An interview with a radiation and health specialist from the group Beyond Nuclear.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
