This week's UNSEEN LEGION RADIO just might go down as one of the best shows of 2013 for Los Angeles hip-hop radio. L.A. legend DEE JAY RALPH M stepped in for DJ EARL-E, who was there in spirit and called in to let us know he was listening in from the road. PERCEE P dropped through and just to show you never know what to expect, A.C. THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR of HIPHOPPHILOSOPHY.COM RADIO and my F.E.M.A. CAMP homie (Knawmeen?) CHAOTIC LOGIC were there to help us set it off. THAI STRONG and DAHLION JAHSON brought that PACIFIC COAST SOCIETY love... UNIFIED SKILL DISTRICT!!! And then KING CRE8 spontaneously appeared in the room...
...And the rest was history. The music was as bangin' as it was impeccable. Dee Jay Ralph M showed us his radio chops are as sharp as ever as he mixed ALL VINYL all night - music from everywhere - into a set that was classic L.A. radio. He blended and faded and scratched WHILE TALKING ON THE MIC! And near the end he gave us an EXCLUSIVE you have to catch. Be the first kid on your block to know!
There was a lot to talk about, but mostly we let the Dee Jay hold us down while we vibed out. Every once in a while we turned the mics on and spoke with the OGs. Priceless jewels were dropped, including Showbiz & AG's original names from Percee P, almost 40 BEATS from AC the PD, incredible scratches and transitions from Dee Jay Ralph M, grace, maturity and wisdom from everyone in the room and so much more. It sparked an extended spitter's session in the Extended Mix.
