Through the courtesy of St Byron Werner, we get to hear not only contemporary news accounts of the massacre on the runway that set the final act rolling, we bear earwitness to the LIVE recordings of the Jonestown suicide ritual as it unfolded in real time! The hellish events that unwound in the steaming jungles of Guyana are revealed through the magic of audio recording, and understandably, some of it is recorded in a low register and garbled--but I tried to punch it up so that the deafest fly on the wall can soak up the full-blown batshit crazy final suicidal jam session of the fucking INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE Reverend Jim Jones. Damn. This is mighty sobering stuff, and tonight's show goes LONG.
