Former Rwandan intelligence chief Col. Patrick Karegeya was apparently strangled to death in a hotel room in Johannesburg on New Years' Eve. Colonel Karegeya, a refugee in South Africa, had condemned the authoritarian regime of Paul Kagame. Other prominent critics of Kagame have been killed in recent years.

Phil speaks with Dr. Theogene Rudasingwa, who was a close colleague of Karegeya.
