Hey Listeners,
Tonight I've got Henry (The Son of Haberdasher) in the studio with me. We wanted to do another show together before he heads back to school and we decided to bring you a MIGFS Show first tonight. Tonight for the first time ever we're going all vinyl. The irony of this is that most of the vinyl are new recorrds (or at least purchases) that Henry has made. Funny thing - vinyl is hip with the youngsters again. And even though Henry doesn't have a turntable (yet) nor has he really ever listened to a turntable - he is buying up vinly. Meanwhile I ave tons of leftover vinly and never think to play it - I've gone completley digital.
Several years ago Henry and I hosted a show together on a local college station. We called the show Generation Gap and the premise of the show was to explore where our tastes intersected and where they were miles apart. Tonight we close the gap as we play vinly records - the technology from my era that is hip again in his. Enjoy!
