Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

Judy Downey joins us from the Relatives and Residents Association (R&RA) who campaign for better oversight of elderly care homes and patients rights. She talks about the origins of the association with former civil servant Dorothy White right the way through to today where these homes are being deregulated, sometimes with shocking results. One of the central problems is lack of a proper enforced qualification for care home staff. Dialect recommends anyone with elderly relatives in care homes should join the association in order to share what they find in this ever-changing sector with others. Judy takes us through some sound advice on how to assess whether or not a care home is going to care well for your parent or loved one. The R&RA can be contacted on email info@relres.org and the helpline on 0207 359 8136 - the organisations website is http://www.relres.org
Angela Belassie meets musician Mark Smulian from the band WhiteFlag which is one of the first ever to have both Israeli and Palestinian members making music together. http://www.whiteflagmusic.com
