This week we take a look inside Eastwood Park womens prison and remand centre with Joanne Schofield who used to teach in there. She explains the point in teaching radio skills to prisoners and explains why they confided in her where they might not to prison officers. The vast majority of the prisoners Joanne taught, more than 100 to 1, came from broken homes and most may have nobody to help them when they are eventually released which may well be why they often slip straight back into their old criminal patterns of less loving. more abusive relationships. Joanne also talks about here time on BBC Radio Four producing an award winning show called The Listening Project where people talk about things they normally wouldnt. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/the-listening-project Luisa Latore reports with Albert from the Spanish blog http://www.bristolenos.com and asks him what Spaniards think of living in Bristol Angela Belassie looks at an up-and-coming charity fundraising football match between City and Rovers players to raise money for a Cerebal Palsy operation for Oskar Pyecrofft www.justgiving.com/ross-simmons Gail Riplinger continues her series of talks about versions of the Bible and why some, like modern New International Version, or NIV are deliberately inaccurate, miss out important expressions, verses and are a step back from the Authorised Version KJV from the 1600s http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/riplinge.htm
