Le Beni Tazira explains the reality of the "peace talks" in Kampala, Ugunda (a very questionable place for peace talks). The talks are in shambles. There was no dialog. A trap was set to entangle the Burundi government with a violent opposition party which does not have support nor popularity.
The violent opposition party demands that the democratically elected President Pierre Nkurunziza step down, and they demanded an amendment to a Constitutional article mandating a party has to have 5% of the primary vote to be represented in government institutions. This party could not even muster 1% of the vote in the 2010 elections.
Tazira emphasizes that Belgium is the main instigator attacking the government of Burundi. They failed to destroy the democratically elected Burundi government, and Belgium's last option is an invasion force.
Tazira and Phil Taylor discuss the peace-talk trap, the absurdity of sending 5,500 troops to squash violence in 3 neighborhoods that the local police can control, the violent opposition stashing weapons for years in Burundi, the ex-president Buyoya who came to power via coups causing the genocide of over 300,000 people.
Tanzania said they will support troops into Burundi ONLY with the consent of the Burundi government, and they would support only a police mandate.
