The ICC was concocted when the US was settling in as “indispensable” nation and the former colonies, especially in Africa, were going to be made to surrender sovereignty to a court in Europe. Washington would indicate who should be tried, the ICC would be an instrument of regime change. But the imperial world is coming under stress.

After humiliating experiences with international justice, African countries such as Namibia, Burundi, and Kenya are leading an exodus from the phony court.
