I begin by noting that while Haiti was largely bypassed by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, its problems from past disasters, the 2010 earthquake and Hurricane Matthew persist, complicated by political problems, UN created cholera, and exploitation by international donors like the Red Cross.

Blaming the US overthrow of Iraq and Libyan governements and attempt to do the same in Syria, for the rise of the ultra-right, racist movements of Europe, I look at the latest, the success of the Alternative for Germany in that country's elections through the eyes of Der Speigel and then Ha'aretz.

I note the growing movement to boycott the Star Spangled Banner and predict that Colin Kaepernick will be his generation's Rosa Parks even while he remains unemployed.

I then cite Trump's threat to destroy North Korea before the UN and a critic of his comment in the Washington Post and follow that with the rejoinder of Pyongang's foreign minister that Trump's speech was a declaration of war and that the North can feel free to shoot down US bombers not over their air space.

I also point out that the reason that the US has not shot down any of the No. Korean missiles yet is that it fears the humiliation that will follow if it misses which is likely.

Then, I turn to Trump's moves towards ending the Iran deal and the possibility he will shift the responsibility of certifying the deal Oct. 15 to the Senate which, controlled by Israel, will vote to pull out. Trump's demands that Iran make further concessions will go nowhere.

I conclude with quoting from Hassan Rouhani's speech to the UN which referred to Trump as a rogue actor and attacked his speech's warlike tones in an institution designed to keep the peace.
