The Senate Tax Bill passed with votes split along party lines. The proposed tax bill would raise taxes on graduate students by nearly 400%. Graduate students serve our communities " they teach classes, grade papers and are vital to higher education. They are the future of innovation and research and demand that their graduate education be affordable! Noah Charles who studies theoretical physics at Ohio State and Jena Freudenburg, who studies astronomy at Ohio State, organizers of the national gradtaxwalkout protest talk to Building Bridges about the onerous tax bill.
