A prisoner serving a 29 year sentence shares his personal experience of transitioning out of Canada's federal prison system. This show looks at the difficulties prisoners face reintegrating into society and the lack of community supports available.
The role of halfway houses, legal aid, racism in criminal justice system, post-traumatic stress disorder, prison privatization, prisoners' justice day, the grievance process for prisoners, and the Correctional Investigator's lack of power to implement change are also discussed.
