This is Black History Month on Back in the USSR. Tonight we continue our tribute to the heroes of the African-American struggle for liberation by discussing a man who understood colonialism, capitalism and fascism on a deeper level, because he was faced with all of these systems of oppression during his time in the racist American prison system and he understood how they were connected. This episode of Back in the USSR is dedicated to George Lester Jackson, the “Prisoner Prophet”, whose life and writings we're going to focus on.
Amir Sulaiman - Brother
The Welfare Poets - Let it be Known
