In the name of food safety or traceability, legislation is being pushed that pose great obstacles to sustainable farmers, including pricing them out of business.  Michael Pollan sums this up by saying that progressive legislators are wanting to apply  greater industrialization to an industrial system that failed because it is industrial already.
