Prominent supporters who received funds from the “cultish” MEK include Democrats Howard Dean, Ed Rendell, Wesley Clark, Bill Richardson, and Lee Hamilton, as well as Republicans Rudy Giuliani, Fran Townsend, Tom Ridge, Michael Mukasey, and Andrew Card.

The group killed six Americans in Iran in the 1970s and attempted an attack on the Iranian mission to the U.N. in 1992. Robert Baer and Jeremiah Goulka suggest that the MEK may next lobby the U.S. to go to war with Iran.

With Robert Baer, former CIA agent in the Middle East, and Jeremiah Goulka, a former RAND Corporation analyst.
