She spoke about the the educational and cultural nature of the event, and the drums and dancers that will be participating. She discussed the importance and richness of native culture  and the ways in which the council works to educate our youth; our future.

In the second we heard Ann Marie Sayers, author, activist and tribal chairperson of Coastonoan Ohlone Indian Canyon. She spoke about the upcoming 16th annual story telling festival and indigenous gathering in Hollister on Saturday, June 30th. There will be numerous and well known story tellers, dancers, musicians and artists sharing their words and dances of wisdom, history and reading. She also discussed the sacredness of the land and water.
