The depot currently accepts containers from 700 binners each day. Ken Lyotier was asked to give the first annual Jim Green Memorial Lecture.  Jim Green was an organizer with the Downtown Eastside Residents Association in the 1980s and a champion of low-cost housing in the Downtown Eastside.
