This community resource provides residential group counseling (where youths live with ‘teaching parents’ in a collaboratively nurturing household) and alternative education at the John G. Wood School (where youths are tutored intensively with individualized attention). Inspire Indeed speaks with Claiborne Mason, President of VHBG, and Pendle Whisnant, John G. Wood School volunteer tutor and VHBG Volunteer of the Year.
